Mansehra: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has identified the Dair Barasi, Akori and Magra meadows situated at the foot of a mountain range in Balakot tehsil as potential tourist spots, a news source reported. KP Tourism Minister Atif Khan recently visited the areas located in the Hungrai union council. He stated that the sites would be developed and made accessible for the tourists.

The Balakot-Hungrai road leading to these places is uneven and dangerous at the moment, but locals believe that if only a five-kilometre stretch is fixed the scenic location will be full of tourists in no time.

As per reports, these meadows could be linked by cable cars with Shogran, which is a well-developed popular tourist resort, as they are separated by the River Kunhar. If this is done, tourists should start arriving in the area in no time, a source reported. The mountain range also has the potential to be developed as a major attraction and summiting point to attract local and international tourists.
