Islamabad: The employees of Bahria University have decided to contribute their one-day salary, amounting to PKR 2.7 million to Supreme Court’s Dams’ Fund, according to a news report. The university administration said that they are pleased to play their part in this national cause as it is imperative for the country’s growth.
They believe that it is absolutely essential for the survival of the economy and will go a long way in addressing the country’s multi-faceted problems such as irrigation and power generation. The Bahria University Rector Vice Admiral (retd.) Muhammad Shafiq said that the Strategic Plan of Bahria University, prepared in line with the Vision 2025 of HEC, supports the fight against socioeconomic issues of the country, such as water crisis and environmental degradation.
