Bahria Town has announced that it will build Awami Apartments in Bahria Town Karachi for the deserving. These apartments will be offered free of cost to the families earning less than PKR 20,000 per month. Per the information shared by the developer in a print ad, construction of this project will begin soon while possession will be handed over in one year. The best part of this project is the availability of free of cost application forms, giving people a break from hyperactive form trading trends. Who can apply for Awami Apartments?
- Applicants who have a collective family income of or less than Rs 20,000
- Applicants who are domiciled in Sindh, preferably Karachi
- The widows of the martyrs of targeted killing
The successful applicants would be required to pay Rs 500 at the time of possession. Where to get forms of Awami Apartments?
- Forms will be available on Bahria Town’s official website
- For public convenience, application forms will also be printed in national dailies
A special committee will be formed to scrutinise the submitted forms and ensure that only deserving applicants are included in the balloting process. Perks of the projects Residents of Awami Apartments will be served with all the signature lifestyle facilities of Bahria Town available for all other residents, which of course includes uninterrupted power supply. The additional perks include:
- Free education for one child per family in Bahria Town schools
- Free medical facilities
- Employment opportunities
Bahria Town has launched similar projects in the past to accommodate the underprivileged. These projects – Awami Villas Lahore and Rawalpindi – are serving a number of families with an array of exciting lifestyle facilities. Awami Apartments, however, is Bahria Town’s first project offering free property to deserving families. It is in fact Pakistan’s first-ever housing project offering people decent accommodation free of cost. I can’t help but say Bahria Town has once again surprised the country!
its good for nation
poor people lost big time money in so called Awami villas and forced to sell their booking in losses; the project was not delivered as promised.
