The dilemma that is the Lahore Ring Road (LRR) cutting through Bahria Town still persists and affectees are clueless about the future of their properties in the locality. Many people funneled their hard-earned money into Bahria Town with the hope of either enjoying a luxurious lifestyle in a serene, well-planned community or bagging good returns on investment. But sadly, the issue of LRR has become a bone of contention between three parties – the affectees, Bahria Town and the Lahore Ring Road Authority (LRRA).
To find a way out to their problems, victims of the project have tried to approach Malik Riaz by writing a letter addressed to him. Luckily, we have a copy of this message which outlines all their greivances.
The letter states that the residents and investors of Bahria Town have been in a state of turmoil for the last few months because of various rumours making rounds about the LRR cutting through the locality. These rumours suddenly started to take concrete shape after the LRRA’s land acquisition collector visited Bahria Town a few days ago and informed home and plaza owners that they would have to vacate their properties.
The affectees empahsised that their hard-earned money is at stake and they are very upset. The victims also stated that they have met the Bahria Town management, but to no avail.
Towards the end of letter, victims requested Malik Riaz to have a meeting with them to listen to their concerns. They asked to be compensated at market price or to get a home for a home forfeited, or a plaza for a plaza sacrificed.
That’s the gist of the message. I hope Malik Riaz will respond to this application and meet affectees sooner rather than later.
Which properties will be affected by the LRR?
Many people have asked me about the status of their properties in Bahria Town. I recently chanced upon some images of Bahria Town Lahore’s master plan with the expected route of the LRR marked on it.
Please see the images below and see for yourself if your property will be affected by the LRR or not.
Personal view
I don’t think Bahria Town will turn a deaf ear to the concerns of affectees because it cannot let its reputation suffer by not compensating them.
That is all about the LRR today. If you have any further queries about the issues discussed in this post, please feel free to converse with me in the comments section below.
Zain
What about Bahria Golf view do you have map of LRR so we can avaluate the impact.
Above affectees are those who have on ground plots but GVR is still on map and no clue about it.
Please also cover GVR.
THX
Dear Rajab,
I don’t have the same kind of map for GVR right now. Let me know you plot number. I will try to confirm its status.

zain Nadeem
My Plot number is 821 South side facing golf.
Dear zain I am about to purchase a plot 938..it that under any dispute.
Zain. Good job for publishing this issue. I would also like to request you to please share the LLR location in Pakistan Medical cooperative Housing Society and Bahria Golf Residency as well. It will be a good help for the effecties of the mentioned societies. I hope you have an idea of Pakistan Medical cooperative Housing Society, just for quick reference, it has 4 blocks. Block C is partially in Jinnah Block of Bahria Town and rest of B & C block is behind it. Block A1 is also under the effect of LRR and is situated beneath Bahria Golf Residency. I will wait for your response on this article as well.
Regards,
You are welcome Adeel. About Pakistan Medical Cooperative Housing Society, I would suggest you contact Fazeel ur Rehman at 03334715823 for details.

AoA,
Thank you Zain for your continuous updates on this issue. LRR route pictures you have uploaded are very helpfull for many of us in understanding the situation. Thank you for that. Zameen.com has turned out to be an absolute heart winner by keeping its users up to date on real estate news in Pakistan.
Wa alaikumussalam,
Thank you for appreciating. I am waiting for the meeting between Malik Riaz ans affectees to take place. I will try to keep you all updated about in future as well.
Regards,
zain Nadeem
This love letter is no more than a piece of paper for a developer. The reality on ground will never change and the fact is, that affectees would neither be given a justified compensation nor an alternative plot or a house. This is their luck and they shall have to live with it.
LRR route map explicitly shows the affected portion of property. Those affected must pray to Allah for help and those not, must celebrate and this is how must life go on.
Nevertheless, my humble prays are always for the affected people.
Let’s see what happens in future. I am actually waiting for meeting between Malik Riaz and affectees to take place.
Agreed n
PRAY TO ALLAH
ALLAH WIL HELP.
Dear Zain Bhai,
I appreciate for your efforts to keep continuous update on this issue. By your efforts you gave a good answer to all brothers, who often acquired about their plots. I indorsed that marking on Map is as per ground marking, in my last visit of BT i see the RR authority marking.
It is matter of people’s hard earning money and shelter, So, I Hope BT show some seriousness on this issue.
Zahid Rashid.
Thank you Zahid Bhai for appreciating. I understand it’s a matter of hard-earned money of people. But at the same time, I hope that Bahria Town will not turn a deaf ear to this issue. It cannot let its goodwill impair because of it.
Rest ALLAH knows better. And I wish all affectees the very best of luck.

zain Nadeem
Dear Zain bhai,
As per your knowledge when the construction work on first two packages (SL-1 and SL-2) i.e. from SuiGas Phase-1 to Adda Plot is going to start ? I have heard that govt is in negotiations with FWO for their offer and FWO was previously asked to submit a formal bid which was based upon the presentation they gave to CM and LRRA about a month back.
Any infor, please share
Dear Shoaib Bhai,
I don’t know about the start of development work, but I know that the authorities concerned have marked the area to inform people about the LRR route. Markings were even done in Bahria Town some time ago.
Regards,
zain Nadeem
Zain Bhai marking to ages se hui vi hai. I remember one year ago when i purchased my Lake City Plot, Marking was there as well. But the real question is when the work on ground will start. Hearing these “developments” are been quite a long now
Shoaib sb,
The government has granted the project for the development of Package I and II of the LRR to FWO.
According to my information, the FWO will complete the project within a year or so.
Now let’s see whether the FWO completes the project within a year or not.
there is a 100 feet structure road passing though sect-D I want to know eater this will have direct approach to ring road or not?
Zahid sb,
Personally I don’t think that the LRR will have the currently proposed route in Bahria Town. The FWO has been given this project for the development of the LRR and only Packages I and II will be developed, while there is no information about Package III, which passes through Bahria Town.
Dear Mr. Zain,
I really appreciate your efforts for providing an update information on the LRR and its effect on Bahria Town. Especially for us who are sitting abroad and dO not have any direct access to any update. I’m residing in KSA and have one 10 Marla plot in Golf View Residencia Barian Town having Plot # 478 Northern Zone, does it effect due to above?
Thanking you in anticipation.
Regards,
Omer Saeed
Assalam o alaikum Omer Bhai,
I suggest you read the following article:
http://www.zameen.com/blog/lahore-ring-roads-effect-on-golf-view-residencia.html
In this article, you will find GVR’s map with the proposed route of LRR marked on it. I hope this would be helpful. In case of further queries, please feel free to contact me.

Zain Bhai,
AOA, Thanks for valuable info as I have been keen reader of your blogs.
I have recently constructed my house at 1001-Janiper in front of Rose Garden; residing there since June-15. Does the parallel Red lines marked on the route map indicates the RR boundary & Green highlighted plots are getting affected only or it will extend further.
Truly speaking, there is significant development ongoing around Rose Garden & we have been living in quite peaceful environment there. Even all other residents are not much aware of the issue. Although my home is appearing about 10 plots away from boundary but i have started worrying after looking at the map since i built it by investing each & every thing.
Your opinion will be much appreciable for the prospect please.
Wa alaikumussalan,
Dear Suleman,
I would suggest you wait and watch. Malik Riaz is trying to change the route. Let’s see what happens in this regard.
Regards,
zain Nadeem
Zain
Do you know when the ring road plans were published? We bought a plot in the overseas extension last year and at no point did the estate agent tell us that plot 536 would be affected which it is.
Also, are the ring road plans final?
Thanks
Shabbir
Aoa Shabbir Bhai,
The government does its future planning. So, the plan was there years ago, but the government should have stopped Bahria Town from developing blocks on the proposed LRR route. Even Bahria Town should have planned something ahead of time.
Thanks for the reply, we’ll have to wait and see if the LRR route changes to avoid Bahria Town.
Regards
Shabbir
Dear Mr. Zain,
what is your opinion on the accuracy of this proposed RR map which you have marked in the above images. I mean in your opinion can any near-by plots have any chance to be affected by RR or it is the official plan.
Regards,
Muhammad Zeeshan Qadir
Dear Zeeshan,
I got these maps with the proposed LRR route marked on them from a reliable source. I am sorry I cannot reveal the source, however, you can rely on these marking. Secondly, I would like to tell you that Malik Riaz is trying to change the LRR route and I am really hopeful that he will be successful.
So please turn a deaf ear to rumours and have faith in ALLAH.
Dear Sir
I have a plot in bahria town RAWLPINDI phase 9. I bought this 10 marla plot for Rs.1000000 and paid all further installments and invested total amount of Rs.1400000 but after waiting 10 years nothing happens. Even not the cutting of plots Bahria town doesn’t even buy the land. Now its value is under 10 and arguing with them resulted in, they are now going to shift my plot from phase9 to phase 8 extension. Which is just under 13. So how can you say that Bahria town cares about its good will and reputation. They just know how to rob innocent people. I have suffered huge loss because if i had invested amount of 1400000 in something else 10 years ago now that property’s value could be above 3000000. So my suggestion is fight for your hard earned and blood burned money you invested in lahore. Don’t just have a blind eye on bt it will give you pain as it gave me
