Karachi: The dedicated interchange developed by Bahria Town to connect the housing society with the Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway (M-9) is set to open to traffic tomorrow (Feb 14), according to sources. The interchange is meant to facilitate project residents travelling to and from the motorway.

The project was announced back in 2017, with Bahria Town and the Frontier Works Organisation signing a formal agreement in November of that year. As per the information shared by the news sources at the time, Bahria Town was to develop several underpasses, overhead bridges, causeways and access roads under this project. In this regard, the construction of two underpasses and several slip roads has already been completed.

The developer has beared the cost of similar projects in Karachi several times in the past. These include the development of a flyover and an underpass in Clifton. This is in addition to the services Bahria Town has already been providing, like cleaning roads, and clearing garbage and rubble in various parts of the provincial capital.
