Karachi: Through a notice displayed at Bahria Town Karachi Head Office, the project developer has announced its decision to extend the deadline for property owners who have yet to submit their dues, as well as apply for possessions of their developed properties in the scheme. To facilitate the Bahria Town Karachi members, the management has stretched the last date from January 15 to January 31.
As per the announcement, the extension has been granted in response to a huge number of applicants seen at the possession counters in the head office. The notice also claims that the directives in this regard came directly from Bahria Town Chairman Malik Riaz Hussain.
Bahria Town Management began to dispatch notices to the owners of developed properties (who have yet to clear their dues and apply for possessions) in December 2019.
The developer has already shared details on how the non-complying property owners will be penalised. Bahria Town will impose a fine of PKR 100,000 as ‘non-utilisation charges’ for consecutive three months. If the owner fails to clear his dues in three months starting after the deadline, Bahria Town will allocate his property to another member who is interested in procuring the possession. The society management will give an alternate plot to original owner once he clears his/her dues.
