Karachi: In a press release recently issued by Bahria Town Karachi, the society management revealed that it had managed to collect around 167.6 million gallons of water in its 12 site dams – in the wake of the torrential rains spell that had continually afflicted the port city during the previous week.

In addition to that, Bahria Town Karachi has also made efforts for ‘preservation and responsible use of resources’ for establishing a 24/7 sewerage treatment plant. This facility treats grey water to make it reusable for construction and horticultural needs and allows the housing scheme to conserve fresh water.
According to the developer, the scheme’s vicinity remained unaffected during the monsoon downpour due to effective town planning and modern infrastructure arrangements undertaken by the management.
