Islamabad: The Bahria Town administration has teamed with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to disinfect the Bhara Kahu area which recently reported on the spread of the coronavirus, according to news sources.

In a similar practice, the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Lahore has also launched an operation to sanitize streets and commercial areas of the society in a bid to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus.
In the federal capital, the district administration, NDMA and the Bahria Town management joined forces and executed the disinfection process with eight fire tenders, 100 road cleaners and 42 water bowers.

The process is expected to reach completion status in three days in the Bhara Kahu, following which this initiative will be extended to other affected areas. The Bahria administration is also exercising extreme caution in their operations of various cities. Their food initiative, called ‘Bahria Dastarkhwan’, is providing sealed food boxes to people under the guidelines of social distancing.
