Not too long ago Bahria Town in general and Malik Riaz in particular, found himself in a vortex of controversy. There was one lawsuit filed after another against him because of which, almost all of the Bahria Town projects lost significant value in Pakistan real estate. The series of unfortunate events added to the stack of unhealthy events for the development and people wondered what the reasons were behind the downfall of Bahria. During the recent few months however, Bahria Town has bounced back. Because of a handful of confidence building measures, the development has came back hard and stronger than over.
One of the biggest reasons to have boosted the value, confidence and the trust of the investors in Bahria Town is undoubtedly five of Asia Pacific International Property Awards 2012-13. This indeed is big news and has been given prominent space and wide coverage by Pakistani media. While a single award would have been no less than an honour for any project, it is a huge thing that Bahria Town went on to win five of them in five different categories. Of these five awards, two fell in ‘5 Star’ category. It is no secret that Bahria Town is a world class housing society and these awards have only cemented its status.
That’s not the end of story. Over the course of years, Bahria Town has gone on to make the availability of better and bigger facility for the residents. In this regards, Bahria Town gave its residents the gift of a gold class 3D Cinema which is not only the first for the society but also for the whole country. After this cinema, Bahria Town also staged a grand opening for its Country Club, which is another state of the art community centre for the residents of the community. This, together with the news of five awards, has significantly contributed to living the value of property in Bahria Town Lahore as well as many of its other developments.
Other than the above mentioned reasons, the goodwill of Malik Riaz adds to the stack of Bahria Town’s worth. Malik Riaz is a notable personality. He engages profusely in charity work. During the floods of 2008-9, Malik Riaz built model villages for people who had been displaced because of the catastrophic floods that struck the whole country. Not just that, Malik Riaz also recently contributed Rs 130 m to free Pakistani sailors from the Somalian pirates. Charity work like this has kept Riaz Sahab in people’s good books and that has also reflected nicely in the reception of all of his projects.
Dear Madam,
Kindly advise me about Bahria Town Awami Villas Lahore. As I invested in Awami Villas almost 7 Years ago & paid every thing but till date there is no delivery date of these Villas to the public.
Bahria has done so many projects during this time span but they are not been able to deliver the project which they claim they started for the common people.
Hope I will get some response from your side on this.
Kind regards,
Akhtar Abbas
