Karachi: The Bahria Town administration recently provided its services to assist the government with its ‘Clean Karachi’ campaign, a news source reported. As per a press release, the Bahria Town management undertook the initiative following the public appeals of Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi and Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar – in which they had requested all stakeholders to participate in the drive.

As per reports, Bahria Town has provided over a hundred dumpers, loaders, tractor trolleys, and water bowsers, and important equipment under the supervision of more than a hundred team members for the cause. These teams are being led by Bahria Town General Manager Zulfiqar Memon.

The campaign has proven to be very successful as the manpower provided by Bahria Town has successfully cleared up to 2.502 tonnes of garbage from various parts of the Korangi and Central Districts.
Waseem Akhtar lauded the efforts, while Zulfiqar Memon stated that he hoped other citizens would take inspiration and step forward to take charge during this time of need for the city.
