Lahore: The Metropolitan Corporation of Lahore has prepared the project plan and working papers for the upgradation work of the Badami Bagh General Bus Stand, a news source reported. As per the publication, the project is estimated to cost PKR 30 million in developmental expenditures.

According to the working plan, the project involves the renovation of the bus stand. Reportedly, once Lahore Division Commissioner Saif Anjum approves of the project, the Punjab Municipal Services will proceed with inviting expressions of interest from competent firms.

As per the plan, computerised checking systems will be installed at the entry and exit points of the bus stand. In addition, 50 CCTV cameras will help monitor and maintain the project site’s security. The plan also includes the following:
- Construction of a new road
- Development of tough-tiled walkways and passages
- Installation of fans, water coolers and benches for passengers
