Peshawar: Azerbaijan Ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadove has offered help for the development of the provincial capital Peshawar, news sources reported on April 29. He said that the embassy will work with the Capital Metropolitan Government for the development of the city and will bring forward formal projects in this connection.

Recently, the ambassador met with newly-elected Peshawar Mayor Haji Zubair Ali and congratulated him on his appointment as mayor. He stated that Peshawar and Azerbaijan have a long-standing history and cultural ties. He revealed that his country will assist the provincial capital in executing better development initiatives in the areas of education and healthcare infrastructure.
He stated that more efforts will be made to promote bilateral trade between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, as well as exchange trade delegations, to bring the people of both nations closer together.

It is worth noting that Azerbaijan has just launched express E-visa services for Pakistanis. E-Visa services have been extended to Pakistan in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation and improve people-to-people interactions.
