Lahore: Following the promulgation of Tax Law Ordinance, 2020 – a special relief package for the construction industry announced by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on April 3 – the Blue World Group has launched low-cost Awami Residential Complex projects in Lahore and Rawalpindi, according to a publication. The apartment complexes feature studio, 1 and 2-bedroom apartments available on a 5-year payment plan.
The Awami Residential Complex, Lahore is located on Raiwind Road near Bahria Town, while its corresponding project in Rawalpindi is situated opposite the Blue World City on Chakri Road. As per the publication, both developments feature a limited number of apartments available on a first-come, first-served basis. Further, the project developer claims to be the first private sector entity to have extended its cooperation towards the Prime Minister’s Naya Pakistan Housing Programme initiative.
Reportedly, Blue World Group has reserved an allotments quota of 50% for public servants and 10% for retired-officers and their widows in both projects; while the remaining 40% is reserved for the general public.

Application forms for Awami Residential Complex projects in Lahore and Rawalpindi are available at designated branches of the United Bank Limited (UBL) and can also be downloaded from the project’s official website: www.awamiresidentialcomplex.com (which also lists the UBL branches where the forms can be attained).
Considering the safety protocols communicated by the federal and provincial governments, the project developer recommends applicants to submit their forms online and initiate payment through debit/credit cards. For submitting forms via banks, the applicants are required to attach two pictures and a copy of their CNIC at the designated UBL branches along with the relevant down payment amount.
