During a recent Annual General Meeting of the Pakistan Medical Cooperative Housing Society (PMCHS), the developers behind Avicenna City, the status of the scheme was discussed in detail. The PMCHS president told the members of the society that about 300 kanals of Avicenna City’s land was being affected because of the unclear status of the Lahore Ring Road. While disproving rumours, he told the members that the Ring Road Authority did not intend to change its plan regarding the road’s development.
The president told the members about possible merger proceedings with Bahria Town, which lies close to Avicenna City. He also said PMCHS had conveyed its stance to Bahria Town and plot owners of Avicenna City would not be offered adjustment plots at other locations.
In my view, if the merger does end up taking place, landowners in Avicenna City are likely to witness a sizeable increase in their plots’ values. On the other hand, Bahria Town will get extra land to expand further. Simply put, the merger would be a win-win for both communities.
The merger has not happened yet, but as we have seen in the past, property prices tend to respond to such news. The status of the merger is still unclear – let me clarify once again – but I suggest the investors of Avicenna City and Bahria Town closely monitor this development and play their cards right to come out on top.

Dear Friends, this rumor is since long but nothing happening in real. Some gamblers create hype to sell their dump and after sometime prices come to old position. Some time ago plots were sold at 3M (16 marla) but then came down to around 1.5M. I dont know what is latest now?
