Rawalpindi: The Aviation Division on Thursday announced its decision to allow the resumption of all domestic flight operations across Pakistan from August 6 midnight, according to a news source. Previously, airlines had already been operating domestic flights from most airports, with the exception of Turbat, Zhob, Pasni, Moenjo Daro, Bahawalpur, Nawabshah, and Panjgur.

Regarding this, the Civil Aviation Authority (CA)) issued a notice to cancel its previous notification of the ban on domestic flight operations.
Spokesman for the Aviation Division’s senior joint secretary, Abdul Sattar Khokhar, revealed this information and also added that all operators would be required to implement all SOPs and guidelines, and will operate subject to approval from the relevant authorities.

He further stated that private aircraft operations, cargo flights, and special flights will also be resumed, with all SOPs intact. Initially, Pakistan had halted all international flights from March 21 and domestic flights from March 26, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, with cases on the decline, it is easing these restrictions.
