Islamabad: China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Chairman Lt. Gen (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa on Tuesday said that so far USD 13 billion has been invested in Pakistan under CPEC, the amount will help bring more investment in the country, according to news sources.

While talking to the media on his visit to the Challenge Textile Factory on Lahore-Multan Road, Amin Bajwa also shared the news of an upcoming USD 12 billion investment of similar kind. He also stated that several economic zones are part of the CPEC project to attract more foreign investors.
Moreover, he lauded Challenge Group of China for setting up an international standard industrial unit. The authority chairman also revealed that the group will also set up a Challenge Fashion Export Park in the country, which will provide employment opportunities to thousands.

Further, Asim Bajwa said that the visa period for the Chinese investors will be extended to 2 years. He also mentioned that Pakistan is undergoing an economic revolution, which is attracting more foreign investors under CPEC and this will help in stabilizing PKR against the USD.
