Faisalabad: The Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA), Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), the Faisalabad Waste Management Company (FWMC), and the Metropolitan Corporation Faisalabad (MCF) on Thursday (July 9) decided to collectively launch efforts to ensure the provision of civic facilities for the city’s residents – and to make it ‘green and more beautiful’, according to a news source.

The decision was taken in a meeting presided over by Faisalabad Commissioner Ishrat Ali. WASA Managing Director (MD) Jabbar Anwar, PHA Director General (DG) Asma Cheema, FWMC Chief Executive Kashif Raza Awan, and MCF Chief Officer Naeem Ullah Wariach and other notable officials attended the meeting.
WASA’s managing director told the meeting members that the authority has initiated the coordination process to help citizens get access to clean drinking water. Heads of the other departments also affirmed that the four civic authorities will work together to make Faisalabad greener, cleaner and more facilitating for the residents – where everyone gets easy access to all civic facilities.

While the chief executive of FWMC shared the company’s cleanliness plan – especially devised in the backdrop of Eid-ul-Azha. He stressed that coordination from all these departments is vital to make the plan successful.
