Lahore: Punjab Housing & Urban Development Minister Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed has directed the authorities concerned to speed up the land acquisition process for Naya Pakistan Housing Project (NPHP), a news source reported.

Chairing a meeting of the Punjab Housing & Town Planning Agency, Rasheed gave directions to expedite the land acquisition process for constructing houses in different cities under NPHP. Also present at the meeting, Housing Secretary Naseem Sadiq briefed the members regarding the visits to survey and identify the appropriate locations for NPHP.
Rasheed added that the provincial government had reviewed several locations for this purpose. He revealed that these included Kamahan, Thokar Niaz Baig, Mohlanwal, Harbanspura, Kala Shah Kaku, Nankana Sahib, and more.

The minister also told the meeting that the concerned committee for this project had visited the abovementioned locations. He added that the construction work for high-rise buildings was underway, while three- and five-marla houses would also be built.
