Gujranwala: The Auqaf Department on Thursday retrieved its land worth millions of rupees from land grabbers – a news source reported.
A team of Auqaf officials, led by Zonal Administrator Shahid Hamid Virk, conducted an operation. The team also comprised officials of the police and revenue departments.
The officials conducted the operation in Darbar Hazrat Shah Jahangir area of Gujranwala, and retrieved state land measuring over three kanals. Moreover, illegal constructions on state land were bulldozed.
Administrator Virk warned the land grabbers not to occupy state land under any circumstances. He stated that the Punjab Government has issued clear orders on the matter.
