Rawalpindi: Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman has asked the relevant authorities to conduct an audit of all commercial buildings in Murree, a news source reported on July 17. The purpose of this audit is to identify any violations of approved designs and building bylaws and take appropriate action.

The Chief Secretary stressed the importance of focusing on the renovation of the hill station. He suggested planting flowers and plants to restore the beauty of the city Rawalpindi Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chattha, Deputy Commissioner Hasan Waqar Cheema, and other officials were present at the meeting.
The chief secretary called for an intensified crackdown on illegal constructions in Murree, ensuring effectiveness in every case. He went on to say that commercial buildings that lack proper parking facilities should be promptly demolished. Additionally, he urged the completion of street patchwork and the painting of roadside buildings to attract tourists.

To finance the renovation efforts, the Chief Secretary assured the allocation of necessary funds. Furthermore, he suggested expanding the monsoon plantation drive and planting more trees to enhance the greenery of Murree.
