The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and the Islamabad Police facilitated the contractor in the deployment of machinery on the construction site. As the work is set to begin from today (as soon as the machinery arrives), the authorities concerned expect to complete the wearing course work within the next two to three days – depending on the weather conditions in the city.
As per the directions provided to them, the contractor is supposed to speed-up the work related to the wearing course. Following the completion of this work, the Ataturk Avenue – also called the Embassy Road – will become fully functional.

Additionally, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) is in the process of making the Ataturk Avenue a dual track road. Once the dualisation process is complete, it is expected to help immensely in resolving the traffic congestion issues along the road.
