Lahore: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has set up an Asset Declaration Facilitation Desk at Lahore Chambers of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), reported a news source. This desk will assist traders on how to avail the amnesty scheme and declare their assets.

Large Taxpayer Unit (LTU) Commissioner Asim Majeed Khan, LCCI Chairman Almas Haider and LCCI Vice President Faheem-ur-Rehman Sehgal inaugurated the Facilitation Desk on Tuesday. At this occasion, FBR Automatic Exchange of Information Commissioner gave a thorough presentation on the rules of Asset Declaration Ordinance 2019.
Addressing the ceremony, LTU Commissioner Khan said that scheme presents an excellent opportunity to the people. The Asset Declaration Ordinance 2019 allows people to disclose assets, expenditures and sales acquired by June 30, 2019. The commissioner encouraged the traders to avail the scheme and declare their assets.

LCCI President Haider said that the rules to deal with Benami assets will be made stricter after June 30, 2019. He recommended traders to avail the scheme while they can.
