Islamabad: Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar on Saturday (December 4) performed the groundbreaking ceremony of 10th Avenue in Islamabad, according to media reports.

Adviser to Prime Minister on Capital Development Authority Affairs Ali Nawaz Awan also attended the ceremony held for Islamabad’s 10th Avenue. As per the details, the minister disclosed that work on the project will start in a few days at the cost of PKR 10 billion. He added that the project will be completed in 18 months. It was reported that the National Logistic Cell (NLC) will start work simultaneously at IJP road, Srinagar Highway, and from the centre of the project.

Moreover, Minister Umar mentioned that the work of IJP road and Margalla Avenue toward Sangjani will also be completed soon. While talking about the Sehat Insaaf Card, Asad Umar revealed that every citizen of Rawalpindi and Islamabad will get the card under which they can avail medical treatments worth PKR 1 million in a year. He went on to say that the work on two projects in the health sector will be started.
