Lahore: The Punjab Housing Department on Wednesday (October 13) issued a notification outlining the territory of the Lahore Central Business District Authority (LCBDA), news sources reported.

The said notification was released after approval from the office of the governor of Punjab. As per the notification, the areas included in the LCBDA jurisdiction include Wahdat Colony, Railway Officer’s Colony, Bab-e-Pakistan, Askari Housing Complex, National Park, Aviation Colony, Airport Flats, ASF Walton Camp, Saint Merry Park, and Lahore Flying Club.

On the other hand, Lahore Central Business District Development Authority (LCBDDA) CEO Imran Amin has stated that the project’s construction and development would be handled by the National Logistics Cell (NLC). According to the proposal, the first five buildings on the proposed development plan will be completed during the next 24-36 months. It is worth noting that the LCBDA recently auctioned out 5 prime commercial plots in the CBD in Lahore’s Gulberg neighbourhood for an accumulative PKR 26.5 billion. The aforementioned property will be utilised to construct multi-story structures containing residential units and commercial outlets.
