Faisalabad: A major real estate consultant and architect of Faisalabad, Shah Nawaz, has identified 15 areas of compact land in Faisalabad’s urban areas which could potentially be used to launch residential projects or other projects of public benefit – a news source reported.
Nawaz is also a member of the District Planning & Design Committee. He explained that this land was adding nothing to the government revenue for decades and could be utilised for the plans the current government has.
He further explained that he had prepared (free of charge) comprehensive feasibility reports and designs which can be constructed on the land so identified by the architect. He named the project ‘Khud Kafeel Faisalabad,’ literally, Self-sufficient Faisalabad.
Providing details of how the land could be put to use, he said that the land identified by him could be used for construction of more than 36,000 shops, 368,748 apartments, 17,624 flea market units, 885 district court units, 4,437 hospital rooms, and parking lots for 267,025 cars.
Shah Nawaz has nearly 17 years of experience as an architect and said the only purpose he undertook the effort was to assist Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan in his efforts to provide housing and jobs to Pakistanis.
