Islamabad: Khazeena Dam is set to be completed by April 24, 2020 as per the approved PC-1 of the project, an official of the Water Division was quoted in a news report. The project costing PKR 288.68 million is being constructed on the Loe Lahara River of Solan Dargi, Musakhel district with storage capacity of 4,000 acre feet.
The primary objective of the dam is to provide water to irrigate cultivable area of about 4,800 acres, besides flood protection of the downstream area and ensuring water supply to lower riparian areas nearby Musakhel town.

The government of Balochistan has also awarded a tender for a 10-kilometre road from Musakhel town to Khazeena Dam. The site had been selected by field staff of the Irrigation Department, Government of Balochistan.
PC-1 of PKR 288.68 million is ready for the project and PKR 276 million has been approved as well.
