As per details, this ambitious initiative will span approximately six and a half kilometers along the riverbanks, offering premium residential options in a prime location.
In parallel, the CDA is working to obtain support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the construction of the Islamabad Bus Terminal, a crucial development for the city’s transportation infrastructure. A key agenda item during the 13th CDA Board meeting, held at its headquarters on Wednesday and chaired by CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa, was the revival of Islamabad’s cinema industry. The meeting, attended by all board members, focused on modernising the city’s infrastructure and included several major decisions.
One of the standout resolutions was the construction of four state-of-the-art cinemas in Islamabad, adhering to international standards. The CDA also identified four additional locations where more cinemas would be developed. These new facilities will not only provide top-notch entertainment but will also feature modern amenities, including ample parking, food and beverage options, and recreational spaces to enhance the overall experience.
The CDA also directed the redevelopment of plots previously allotted for cinemas but not fully utilised, ensuring they meet current needs and expectations.

Another critical topic at the meeting was the improvement of the CDA’s financial management. To streamline operations and increase revenue generation, the Resource Wing will now be overseen by the Member Finance. This restructuring is intended to enhance the authority’s ability to meet revenue targets, explore new income streams, and address gaps in the current collection process.
