Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Pervaiz Elahi granted approval for the construction of the Multan-Vehari dual road project, a news source reported on January 16.

CM Elahi presided over the 12th Public-Private Partnership and Monitoring Board meeting. During the meeting, the CM apprised that in the first phase, a 39-kilometre-long dual road will be constructed from Multan to Tibba Sultanpur. It will be built under a public-private partnership and is expected to be completed within a year. In the second phase, a 47-kilometre-long road, from Tibba Sultanpur to Vehari, will be constructed. The Communication & Works (C&W) department will construct the dual road from Tibba Sultanpur to Vehari.

Moreover, the meeting also approved the construction of the Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha dual road, which will be completed in two phases under a public-private partnership. The news source revealed that in the first phase, Faisalabad to Chiniot dual road project dual will be constructed. In the second phase, the road from Chiniot to Sargodha will be completed.
