Peshawar: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is preparing a mobile application and website to introduce the province as a tourist brand in the world, reported a news source. The information was shared during a meeting presided by Sports, Tourism Archaeology, Culture, Museums and Youth Affairs Secretary Shahid Zaman on Wednesday.
As a first step to make KP a tourist hub in the country, the app is expected to attract local and international tourists to the region. As per the briefing given by Management of Information System team, the app will offer useful information about tour operators, booking in hotels and restaurants in respective areas, weather conditions, tracking, lakes, and tourist resorts. The same information will be shared on the website to help tourists get information about the facilities and attractions awaiting them in various parts of the province.
The meeting was also information that tangible steps have been taken to boost adventure, cultural, religious and archaeological tourism to attract more travelers. In addition, it was also revealed that capacity of the registered tour operators to facilitate tourists in a better manner has been built through training and workshops.
