Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) will use an android app to help carry out the survey of high-rise commercial buildings for the new commercialisation policy, a news source reported. LDA Director General Amna Imran Khan said that survey teams have been directed to carry out a real-time survey of high-rise commercial buildings so that the collected data could reflect actual impact of these buildings on the infrastructure of the city
It is hoped that this will provide a realistic assessment of problems with the commercialisation. Khan was addressing an open session held in collaboration with Punjab Urban Unit. She underscored the need for authentic data collection for preparation of a comprehensive master plan for the city.
She also stressed the need for public input and stated that an informal method for collecting opinion of the people and involving them in the formulation of policies has been adopted.
