Karachi: Revenue Minister of Sindh Makhdoom Mehboob Zaman on Tuesday announced the provincial government’s decision to develop a smartphone application aimed at offering detailed land record information to the residents of the region, according to news sources.
The minster publicized this decision during a question-hour session in the Sindh Assembly and added that land record information was also available on the Sindh Board of Revenue’s website: www. sindhzameen.gos.pk. He added that an application was already available that provided people with land records on the basis of taulkas/ tehsils in the province.

Furthermore, Minster Zaman stated that the government would not allow any illegal occupation of state land within the province. He said that the government had taken measures to ensure that complaints regarding illegal occupation of state land would not go unchecked.

He made these remarks in response to a complaint made by a member of the opposition party, who raised an objection to cases of illegal occupation of land owned by state and private individuals.
