Dera Ghazi Khan: The All Pakistan Cement Dealers Association Dera Ghazi Khan has requested the government to allow business activity to continue between 7 AM and 7 PM — a news source reported.

The association made the demand in an emergency meeting chaired by APCDA President Haji Muhammad Yusuf Chohan. Other traders and dealers who attended the meeting included Haji Muhammad Akbar Chandia, Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, Ashraf Kandi, Haq Nawaz Khosa, Shoaib Khalil, Kami Masood Pathan, Khayam Niazi, Junaid Mastoi, and Junaid Fareed, among others.

The association said that since the lockdown had been extended to April 14, this would have a significant detrimental effect on the construction sector, and the daily wagers and labourers connected to it. They requested the government to allow the construction industry to function fully for 12 hours of the day so that the labourers would not have to suffer.
