Gwadar: The Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) has assembled in Gwadar today for three days to attend the first major conference of this organisation from October 29-31, according to a news source. This collection of delegates is in Gwadar to attend the Asian Parliamentary Assembly Standing Committee on Political Affairs and Special Committee on Creation of Asian Parliament. This conference will help showcase Gwadar as an economic hub with vast investment potential, and will promote regional cooperation.
The delegations from various countries were received by Acting President Sadiq Sanjrani at Gwadar Airport. Sanjrani was accompanied by Leader of House in the Senate Senator Shibli Faraz, Senator Kauda Babar, Secretary Senate Amjed Pervez Malik, Chief Secretary Balochistan Dr Nazir, DGs of Gwadar Development Authority, members of local administration, and many others.
Delegates were delighted by the cultural displays that welcomed them at their arrival, and attended a reception hosted by the Pakistan Navy.
