Lahore: The authorities concerned have set up several anti-land grabbing cells in all the districts of Punjab in a bid to swiftly address the complaints of the citizen, according to a news sources.
These cells will be managed by BS-18 officers, who will be responsible to promptly verify the complaints made against the illegal land occupation and take action against the people involved in these illegal practices.

A Punjab government spokesperson said that all of the administrative departments, self-governing bodies, development authorities, and the police force would assist with running the operations of these anti-land grabbing cells. This initiative aims to address the grievances of the citizens against the land-mafia.
He also added that for the supervision of these cells, a provincial Anti-Land Grabbing Cell has been established inside the Chief Minister’s Office. The Director complaints has been appointed as the focal person of this cell.

Moreover, to review the performance of these cells, the divisional commissioners have been directed to present to the office of Director Complaints, Chief Minister’s Office in Lahore, with a monthly consolidated report in specified format.
