Initially, land will be retrieved from influential individuals with illegal graveyard holdings. RDA Chairman Arif Abbasi has stated that the operation is aimed at restoring the real beauty of the city. Additionally, graveyards will have more space for burial once the encroachments have been cleared.
After clearing the seized land in parks, swings will be set up for recreational purposes. The provincial government plans to eradicate the hold of the encroachment mafia from the city.
At present, the drive is also being conducted in other cities to recover state and public lands.
