Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has conducted an anti-encroachment operation in the cantonment area, a news source reported. 40 encroachments were removed along the roads of the cantonment during the operation. Police was also present during the operation.
RCB had issued notices to shopkeepers to voluntarily remove the encroachments, but action had to be taken after the encroachments were not removed. Action was also taken against temporary encroachments in several areas of the cantonment where 4 truckloads of good were impounded.
The Cantonment Executive Officer Sibtain Raza speaking on the matter stated that all the resources are being utilised to remove encroachments and daily operations are taking place, which have produced good results.
