Lahore: The Lahore district administration conducted an operation in Raiwind area as a part of its winder anti-encroachment drive, a news source reported. Walls and constructed structures were demolished with the help of heavy machinery.
In the operation, a total of 47 kanals of government land was retrieved. The retrieved land is worth PKR 77 million. The operation was overseen by Assistant Commissioner Shahid Mehboob.
An operation is also taking place in Model Town where government land is being retrieved and during the operation, five farmhouses were demolished. A total of 200 kanals of land has been repossessed so far. The operation is being supervised by Assistant Commissioner Model Town Mazhar Ali.
Zone staff and police are also present at the operations. Deputy Commissioner Lahore Saliha Saeed appreciated the efforts of the operation.
