Peshawar: The district administration conducted a large-scale anti-encroachment operation in Board Bazaar, Peshawar on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Asghar – a news source reported.
The operation was conducted by Additional Assistant Commissioner Hamid Kiyani, who was assisted by Town 3 officials and staff, as well as members of the police. The operation was conducted against a large number of very old encroachments.
During the operation, more than 50 cabins, stalls, and other illegal constructions were razed using heavy machinery.
The Deputy Commissioner has directed the city administration to conduct daily operations in the Board Bazaar to remove any encroachments that spring up again. He also instructed that strict action should be taken against people who set up encroachments again, and that cases should also be registered against them.
