Peshawar: Peshawar Division Commissioner Riaz Khan Mehsud on Monday chaired a meeting that decided to launch a massive anti-encroachment operation in the city for the successful execution of the Peshawar Revival Plan, according to news sources.

During the said meeting, the commissioner was briefed on the steps taken to implement the Peshawar Revival Plan. The meeting also decided that a large scale anti-encroachment operation that will be executed simultaneously by all the relevant departments.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Gul Bano was designated as the focal person and the Revenue Department has been instructed to conduct a survey for identifying the encroached state land and submit their report within a week. Additionally, the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA), town administrations and district administrations were instructed to continue the operation in areas where the illegally occupied properties have already been identified.
