Mansehra: The National Highway Authority (NHA) will launch a week-long anti-encroachment drive on Hazara Motorway from the Havelian to Thakot section today (October 25), according to media reports.

Motorway Project Director (Havelian-Thakot Section) Chaudhry Masood mentioned that notices were sent to encroachers before the launch of this campaign. Now, the anti-encroachment campaign will demolish illegal structures and buildings on Hazara Motorway. According to the details, in the first phase of the operation, commercial buildings near the interchanges from Mansehra city to Battal will be razed with the help of the district administration. During the second phase, the focus will be on the interchange link roads and infrequent routes from Battal to Thakot-Battagram.

In the third phase, the Mansehra-Havelian section will be cleared. Once the encroachments are removed, the section will improve the flow of traffic on the road and reduce the risk of accidents. The project director disclosed that the building and structures coming in the right of way and close to infrequent routes will be demolished.
