Dadu: Archaeology and Antiquities Director General (DG) Manzoor Ahmed Kanasro, along with the Sindh Culture Department team, historians, artists, and archaeologists, visited the project site of the first anthropological museum at Kotdiji Fort to review the pace of ongoing work, according to news published on July 4.

As per the details, the work at the museum was initiated under the supervision of 24 historians and archaeologists from Shaheed Allah Bux University of Art, Design, and Heritage- Jamshoro and departments of Art, Design, and History of Shah Abdul Latif University- Khairpur, in collaboration with the culture department.
The director general disclosed that the construction of the museum building has been completed and 10% of work has been completed on the establishment of eight galleries. He mentioned that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed between the universities and the culture department. The anthropological museum will showcase history and way of living from the Stone Age to the British era.

Sharing more details, he said that the museum will display how humans used to live in the forests, caves, and houses in historic periods. The focus will be on the remains of Indus Civilisation with Amri and Mohenjodaro.
