Lahore: A Singaporean construction firm, Pomeroy Studio, on Tuesday expressed its interest in developing low-cost houses in Punjab under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP), a news source reported. The company specialises in the development of affordable real estate projects.

Several representatives of the firm, led by Jason Pomeroy, met Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed in Lahore where they minister regarding low-cost development gigs.
Pomeroy said that the firm utilised a ‘prefabrication technology’ and possessed the expertise to facilitate the construction of 40-storey buildings within a timeframe of 18 months. He added that they had developed a reputation for developing quality structures in Singapore, Indonesia, and Sweden.
In response, Rasheed welcomed their suggestions with regard to the development of low-cost houses, and said that the provincial government would benefit from the firm’s expertise and experience.

He reiterated that the NPHP focused on the provision of affordable yet quality accommodations to the masses; adding that the ambitious scheme had previously attracted investment interests from multiple countries.
