Rawalpindi: The Pakistan Military will deploy another division of troops for the security of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, a news source quoted the DG Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor as saying.
Speaking on the matter, he said that Pakistan and China were fully determined to ensure the security of the project. He was speaking with the Chinese media in a press conference on Saturday.

He explained that the Pakistan military had raised an entire division-size force to protect the project, and that the deployment of another division was also on the cards for the purpose.
The DG remarked that Pakistan had to face a very challenging war scenario against terrorism during the last two decades, and that the security situation was only now under control.
He further stated that the economic prosperity brought about by CPEC would see to the failure of the terrorists’ designs, since the success of the project would bring in more employment and business opportunities to the country.
