Islamabad: Property owners whose plots were acquired by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) decades ago accused the civic body of allotting good plots to favourite people, according to a news report. They raised their concern during the manual balloting process held last week.
According to details, the affectees expressed great concern over the CDA not following the SOPs it specifically devised for allotment of alternate plots. According to the SOPs, the authority is to hold a computerised ballot. They accused the civic authority of allotting the best plots in Sector I-11 to some chosen people through a manual ballot instead.
Islamabad Mayor and CDA Chairman Sheikh Anser Azi said that the government has rolled out an effective system for plot allotment under the SOPs to ensure transparency and merit.
