Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has announced the names of the 2,000 successful applicants who will be allotted LDA City Naya Pakistan Apartments, according to the authority’s official Facebook page. The names names of the successful applicants can be looked up here.
Reportedly, the names of the successful applicants have been sent to the Bank of Punjab that will be issuing the letters of comfort to the allottees. The winners were determined through the computerised ballot executed by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar on April 20.

Those who have been allotted the apartments and want additional subsidy, can apply to NAPHDA. Those who are screened through by NAPHDA, will be liable to pay only 10% down payment, while the remaining applicants will have to pay 21% down payment. The remaining amount for the apartments will be payable in monthly instalments after the possession.
This ballot was done for 2,000 of the total 4,000 apartments, and will be allotted to the existing government employees. According to Naya Pakistan Housing & Development Authority (NAPHDA), the remaining 2,000 apartments will be given to non-government employees. These 4,000 apartments are part of the first phase of 35,000 LDA City Naya Pakistan Apartments announced by the government.

The LDA reported that as many as 13,277 applications were submitted. Recently, applications were invited from government employees – with monthly income of PKR 50,000 after deductions – to avail these apartments at a cost of PKR 2.7 million.
