Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) cancelled the allotment of 68 Government Accommodations on 28th February, according to a news report. These had been previously allotted to CDA employees who were receiving rent income on these by sub-letting.
As per regulations, government accommodation can’t be sublet by the allottee; allotment of persons found is to be cancelled and a monthly rent is to be charged. In such a case, if a Federal Government employee is found guilty then they are to be disqualified from future allotment.
The illegally sublet properties are from F-6/2, G-10/3, G-9/2, G-8/1, G-7/1, G-7/3-1, G-7/2, G-6/1-2, G-6/1-3, G-6/2, and G-6/4. Allottees of these have been asked to vacate all these properties within two weeks.
