Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced to hold ballot for allotment of plots to the land affectees of Sector D-13, according to news published on April 22. The authority will not entertain community land with endorsement from Islamabad Capital Territory’s Revenue Department.

The CDA is expected to hold the balloting next month with the assistance of the National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA). It was reported that many landowners in the area possess community land (shamlat) and the authority plans not to entertain any such cases without endorsement from the revenue department.

A senior CDA official stated that the authority plans to clear compensation cases of people in all the stalled sectors – including Sector D-13 – to take possession of the sectors and initiate development work. He highlighted that development work in Sectors C-13, C-14, D-13, E-13, F-13, H-16 and I-17 are stalled due to compensation cases.
