Faisalabad: Adviser to Prime Minister (PM) on Trade and Investment Abdul Razzak Dawood revealed that the development work of Allama Iqbal Industrial City is underway at an expedited pace on the orders of PM Imran Khan, according to news sources. Allama Iqbal Industrial City is among the first mega projects in Punjab to be developed under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiative.

During the review meeting to discuss the development status of the industrial city, the adviser informed the attendees that all the required facilities were provided to set up industrial units here. The meeting members were also informed that Dawood will be attending the meeting with British Business Council to discuss ways to boost foreign investment in the country.
Giving out more details about the Allama Iqbal Industrial City, the advisor said that work on 20 industrial units had already started and work on the remaining units will be started by the end of the year. Besides providing the basic infrastructure and facilities in the economic zones, the industrial city was being developed as a global business hub and an international industrial zone.
