Gujranwala: The Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA) has notified the closure of all 25 parks in the city till April 5 as a precautionary measure against the novel coronavirus pandemic raging across the country – a news source reported.

According to details, PHA has issued directives to close down all parks and entertainments spots for two weeks in a bid to control the spread of the coronavirus infections. To facilitate this measure, the authority has tasked its staff members with preventing the citizens from visiting public attractions.
The decision was taken by the PHA Director General after consultation with PHA Chairman S A Hameed.

In a similar development, the Sindh government has commenced with a drive against markets and businesses found operating in the city. The provincial executive has already announced the closure of such outlets for 14 days.
Assistant Commissioner Moro recently conducted an operation and ordered the closure of six restaurants found violating the lockdown instructions.
