Multan: The Commissioner Multan Imran Sikander Baloch has instructed all departments to submit proposals for development projects, according to a news report. He gave these orders on the directives of the Punjab government – as per its new budget recommendations.
Instructions have also been issued for installation of streetlights on intersections, big roads, and overhead bridges.
Baloch said that under the instructions of the provincial government, southern Punjab will get 33% representation in all of Punjab’s uplift schemes. All the departments will have to submit uplift project proposals worth 33% of the budget for southern Punjab – for appearing on the provincial government’s records.
The commissioner was in attendance at a review meeting of the new & ongoing uplift schemes. He instructed all the departments to submit their proposals by 31 January, 2019. He added that the final recommendations for all projects under the annual development programme would be shared by May 25.
